can you or have you got services for your parents

i mostly do everything for my mum

my mum is talking about us moving down to look after her in the near  future

mr shaz is no liking that idea at all

That sounds pretty good @outlander , I had a feeling you would be organised.  I know your mum may be feeling the pressure, but, I think she needs to be more considerate of your needs and desires.  Anyway I won't harp on about it..

Really hope you can take the time and look after yourself.  Crossing what good bits I have and that the specialist gets things moving so you can get things organised for your Pop.

@Shaz51, yeah not quite there, maybe another year or two.. time will tell, but, i feel theres a certain ammount of inevetability about it.  My parents don't have any services at the moment, not sure they want any help besides me chipping in occasionally.

My brother hasn't even discussed it with Me and I lay a fair ammount of blame on his selfishness.  We hardly even talk these days, he's off with the pixies and becoming delusional about some things.  Not sure why his wife/friends don't tell him his thinking about stuff is wonky.

How far away are you from your mum?  I can understand Mr Shaz reluctance, but, you have to do things that aren't ideal sometimes.

My mum only gets meals on wheels, she won't apply for anything else , I do it

My farm is a 3 hour drive from parents place so not ideal. 

I think its harder for that generation to accept help or even ask for it sometimes.  Maybe you can organise more help for her gradually and she becomes more accepting of it.  How is the tucker that meals on wheels do for her?  We'll have to organise some nice large ice coffees for the afternoon 🙂
