Re: Taking the plunge
Thanks @Maggie ☕️☕️
I find the xmas season very diffucult now. I wish I could just go away and escape most of it. Part of me really wants to do that rather than be forced to interact with SIL that I despise.
Its been warming up the last few days, grateful the smoke isn't too bad here, you can literally see the cloud finishing about 30kms to the north of where I am now. I was just reading how bad the air is up north, not sure its going to ease or get better any time soon. Frustrating that we don't have more firefighters to help with it all. I heard 2,500 which doesn't seem near enough to tackle this.

Re: Taking the plunge
Yes @Gazza75 good will and cheer with difficult family members, really tough.
The fires are an emergency, which don’t look like improving any time soon. The air must be awful, even from a distance. Rain is badly needed. Hard to think we are in the same country, but it’s a big area. It’s grey skies here, looking like rain, cold and windy. The wind has been really bad for three days now.
Hope some good is in today for you. I’m waiting to see if kind of friend is discharged from hospital today. She was bitten by a white tailed spider and needed an op. 💜💜💜💜💜

Re: Taking the plunge
Its ok we all go through not wanting to do anything crafty.
Ive just cleaned one paddock and half of another but its to hot now and my rake broke. I got 10 wheelbarrow loads done though. Ive been doing alot of crochetting, mostly of a night time. Ive created a fb page and im going to advertise things for sale. Ive got 4 sets (one of each colour left)and then ill advertise them for sale. Hopefully itll help scrape through christmas abit.
My face where the nerve damage is so sore and very hot atm (like burning and skin is super hot) so may need to contact surgeon and see if i need to come in earlier then the 18th of this month.
Ive just sat down with a cuppa, care to join me and everyone too. Ill put on a chrissy movie and continue to do my crochet. I hope to have the sets done today.

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Gazza75
I like playing with my mobile phone - it's much easier for me to use the computer because I am a tough typist and texting takes longer but my phone has so many apps - and it actually updated - and it was great to catch up with an old friend on messenger yesterday
Bumbling along until Christmas for a break and hopefully some downtime - I hear you - everything gets so chaotic before Christmas and then we seem to have what I call the January drears - I have a few things planned for this January - getting an early bus down to the beach and taking a walk sounds good - I have a small collection of sea-degraded broken glass and I am thinking of doing something with that - I find time to myself wonderful -
I wish you the best with weight loss - I am glad your doctor is taking you seriously - all the best with seeing your neighbours too

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Maggie
Are you still tired beyond coffee? I am - I feel everyone of my years -
I guess this is a reaction from a pretty stacked weekend plus - I am over it now and my daughter is home from hospital but not well yet - pain specialist, psychologist and GP all seen - domestic helper been and cleaned - tomorrow it busy again - let's enjoy a quiet Thursday
I hope you are feeling better - but if you are in the tired-out-club - hey there

Re: Taking the plunge
That cuppa might be cold by now @outlander , but my turn to put the kettle on if you are about. ☕️☕️☕️
Fb sounds good. I sold some stuff before I moved, so 🤞🤞🤞🤞you get some $$$$ for Christmas.
I’d definitely be making an early appointment @outlander. Could be an infection. Better sooner, as you have had more than enough pain with that.
I actually fiddled with my first mosaic this morning, just need to add the grout and see how it looks. 💚💚❤️❤️❤️

Re: Taking the plunge
@Owlunar Yes, I too feel every one of my years and then some. This has been my 4th move in 3 years. The lead up to this move was a year of stress plus. It’s all come crumbling down, but it will pass, I know. I’m very impatient with some things, mainly me, very patient with others.
Sorry your daughter is still unwell. It’s alway a worry, and harder when there’s nothing that you can help with. Yes, a quiet afternoon I think.
Have you thought of doing a mosaic with your collection of treasures????
Rest @Owlunar . Looks like @outlander has coffee brewing and a good movie.
