Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

Suffering from the level of physical and emotional abuse I copped has stuck with me and ai am permanently in a defensive mode. I have to learn to trust again unfortunately

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

It sounds like a trauma response. That constant flight/fight response and hyervigilance is so draining. Whilst trauma often occurs around people, the healing also is around people @BipolarRich

Do you have supports to help you through?

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

I have my Psychiatrist and Psychologist a two close friends I am able to talk to. Just so so tired of being angry all the time๐Ÿ˜ž

Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป I am PansexualPirate, I was going to write you can call me PP for short but Iโ€™d rather you donโ€™t ๐Ÿคฃ

A few facts about me:

โ€ข I love to be creative and Iโ€™m usually found at my desk doing something crafty.

โ€ข I am studying to be a youth worker because Iโ€™d love nothing more than to give young people a voice.

โ€ข My favourite animals are monkeys, especially orangutans.

Glad to be part of the SANE community โ˜บ๏ธ

Awesome stuff @pansexualpirate !

Thanks so much for sharing! What an amazing role as a youth worker.

I spent a lot of time working with youth in Mental Health, but I struggled. It was had to balance out safety aspects while also remembering they are minors.

Hence I moved to working with adults at SANE instead.

But certainly, working with youth is incredibly rewarding.

I am kept going by my heart literally and figuratively.

And hold onto that @simple-petal . I love the way you put it.
