Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

Welcome to the forums @SchizOttie . Itโ€™s great that youโ€™ve found the forums as I hope you will find them to be very helpful and supportive like they have been for me.

I read that youโ€™re going to undertake the Certificate IV in Mental Health next year. Well done - I hope you enjoy the course as I know itโ€™s a great entry course into a mental health career. I know of people who have done the course and found it to be very interesting and exciting, especially when they get to use their knowledge on their practical placements as part of the course requirements.

Iโ€™m also going back to study next year - a bachelor of social work- and Iโ€™m hoping my schizophrenia behaves itself and I manage to stay out of hospital for the duration of the course. Iโ€™ve previously studied and had to discontinue courses in the past when my mental health caused me issues. Iโ€™m well right now and am hoping to stay that way.

Welcome once again to the forums!

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello!

I took some time to introduce myself because Iโ€™m not really good at this, but I want to try!

I recently started a Cert.IV Mental Health Peer Work, I have a dog and I love tangerines.

I have lived experience with ADHD, depression, anxiety and PTSD. I also have lived experience with people with bipolar disorder, AOD, BPD, and more.

I decided to join the forum because I donโ€™t have any friends that I can ask about mental health, and I also would like to help others if I can.

Hope this post doesnโ€™t give away my identity ๐Ÿซฃ

Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚
