Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@DownMoreThanUp it all depends on the mood. While feeling down, I am more likely to believe the lies I tell myself. But when I am feeling good and positive, I know they are crap and won't even take notice of the lies.

If only my medication would do the job it is supposed to do. I would be in a much better place, more often.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@DownMoreThanUp  omg the Goebells quote is frightening and so current with what is happening today in australia and around the world ..... horrific!

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Mustang67 Yes i truly relate with that my friend.  Do you suffer from bi-polar? For many bi-polar sufferers have issues with AD's not taking well. In the end i stopped my psych medications for that very reason, they made things worse for me.

It might well be worth to keep searching for the right medications my friend, if the ones you are on do not work for you. For if the AD does not treat your depression why take them, maybe there are others that will? Have you discussed this with your doctor?  i learned the hard way to understand to keep searching, being at best sick of life and longing to die, if not full on suicidal, the times i was on any kind of AD for any length of time.

At the moment i'm not doing too badly on natural remedies depression wise though. As a matter of fact the last 3 1/2 years i'm doing much better than the 20 years before that taking psych meds.

i hope you will have at least a reasonable today.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@Bunniekins  Absolutely men like him remind us people can be very wicked spreading lies and then believing them. He sure reflects today's society. Lies ruling galore with a lot of people full on believing them.

i hope it he not trigger you in a bad way?

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@DownMoreThanUp   it should be a trigger for all of us particularly those that are well read and that know wwII and what happened during that time.  it should scare us .... otherwise history is doomed to repeat itself.

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@DownMoreThanUp no I don't have bi-polar. Just major depression. I was on an antidepressant that made me feel the best that I have ever felt in over 20 years. And then in May, for whatever reason, the drug was discontinued. The pharmacist just started putting the generic brand in my webster pack, without telling me. It wasn't until I was feeling so sad, that I no longer could be bothered opening up my coin packages and they were sitting there for a month, that I realised that something was majorly wrong.

I spoke to my pharmacist, and he said that rather than change my medication and have to go through the tapering process, I can just try a different generic brand and see if it works. Well, the 2nd one is way better than the 1st one, but it is nowhere near as good as the branded medication. So currently I am waiting for my next doctor's appointment, so I can get her to write another referral to a psychiatrist to be seen for a medication review.
