A question for church goers

Hello,

Since late last year, I have a renewed sense of faith in God. This faith is helping me to cope and have hope. I'm recovering from being mentally unwell now and my counsellor suggested I start socialising as I am fairly isolated. We talked about going to my local church each week. I haven't been to church much in my life so I wonder if I can just turn up to the Sunday service or would I be better seeing the minister beforehand? Also, there's a kid's program at the same time as the service. Does that mean children are not allowed in the main service?

Final question, do I need to donate money each week, and if so, what's a reasonable/normal amount ?

Hello @Patchworks and hugs my friend

You can decide if you want your children to sit with you  through the maid service or to have them in th es kids program is up to you xx

And @Patchworks you don't need to donate money to the church,  only if you feel the urge to give to the church and it is whatever you can afford my sister,  Jesus's knows your heart and how much you can give

Just turn up for er the service I a good my friend

Re: A question for church goers

Some great questions there @Patchworks , and I think @Shaz51 has answered very well.

I hope your faith journey will support your recovery and help with the isolation.

All the best,

tyme

Re: A question for church goers

Any church that grasps at whatever you may choose to tithe and chides you for not giving more is not a church you want to be part of.

Best of luck with your search.
