Med advice

Hi I've recently started a new medication wondering if anyone knows if nausea, dry mouth symptoms ease?

Re: Med advice

Hey @kk3 , welcome.

I'm having dry mouth and nausea on my current medication and have since I started on it. My Psychiatrist told me that chewing sugarless gum and eating/sucking on sugarless lollies, chocolate etc. can help, and sips of water, although personally that doesn't help me.

The nausea is common, depending on your dosage, medication, etc. it should go away within a week if you're just starting it or upping a dosage. Well thats my experience anyway, although I still experience nausea and have had past medications where I've felt sick the entire time and had to change meds all together.

I hope your symptoms go away, or become tolerable at least and you feel some relief mentally, physically too.

I'd advise speaking to a professional such as a Psychiatrist if you have one if your symptoms don't go away, get worse, etc. which I hope isn't the case.

Best of luck, take care. I hope you feel better mentally and physically

Thanks

Re: Med advice

Hey @kk3 thanks for posting. That sounds super annoying, it's good you are reaching out for support. Unfortunately our forum users are unable to provide too much advice due to our medication guideline, have you chatted to a GP in addition? Let us know how you get on.

Re: Med advice

hey @kk3 and welcome
I hope the medication side effects wear down soon. I know some can be pretty horrible.

please feel free to have a look around the forums and join in wherever you like too. the more the merrier.
A little forum tip is to put an @ before a members name , that way itll tag them and they'll receive a notification as well.
