Re: Good Morning!
Thanks @WIP If you've tried schema therapy, did you indeed find it useful for your wellbeing/recovery? I'm curious regarding why you ruled out ACT!

Re: Good Morning!
Lovely post with pics thanks @Emelia8
(but I read it in the afternoon). Funny thing today - I was prompted to google Kazakhstan due to a conversation at work. Whilst driving my 11yo to the usual hangout (skate park where I am now), I said "Guess how many people there are per square kilometre in Kazakhstan?". He estimated 1000 and when I told him it was only 6 and enquired about what that might imply, he stated "It's hard to find friends there"!!!

Re: Good Morning!
@MDT Do you find DBT helps with depression? What is RAT - do you mean rational emotive therapy ?

Re: Good Morning!
I haven't tried schema therapy, that's what my sisters friend (who is a clinical psychologist) recommends for me. And she knows colleagues who specialise in that type of therapy, amongst others. I'm just thrilled to be recommended to someone reputable. My previous psychologists have been so hit and miss - mostly miss!
I participated in a short outpatient course after hospital on ACT. It was ok. But the mindfulness side was what I struggled with. Maybe being in the group setting didn't work for me either.
The book "the happiness trap" is based on ACT, and that's a really good read if you want an introduction to ACT @Sam3

Re: Good Morning!
But yes I did.
From memory it's a series of 3 questions
Is there anything I can do about thus problem now?
Will thinking about it or worrying about it help or stop it?
I forgot the third 😕

Re: Good Morning!
if you can't solve the issue in the present moment it can actually put bad thougts to bed. That can happen in my experience
