How abuse causes depression and self loathing

If we have experienced parental or sibling abuse as a child, we come to believe that we are less than. This feeling of being less than naturally causes depression. We then enter our teen and adult life with low self worth. Any criticism or failure in life compounds our formed belief that we are an inadequate human being and compounds. our feelings of depression. Until we get to the understanding that. we are a fully worthy human being and that it was the abusers be it family members or others were in the wrong and we are blameless, we can not relieve ourselves of the destructive and untrue belief that we are less than. We are aware we were abused. We voice it, but in our hearts we don't assign true responsibility to them holding on go the guilt of assigning belief to where it belongs to the ones who were suppose to love and cherish us as gifts from God to them.

Re: How abuse causes depression and self loathing

@Amy899. Yes.  We know.  But still we don't assign the blame to them.

And if we manage to finally put the blame on them,  him,  where it belongs,  then what?
